What I want to give:
Curiosity. Willingness to fully participate in the serious and the silly. I have recently developed a Food Studies 9/10 ADST course that meets the revised curriculum, and is entirely through the themes of social and environmental justice. I’d love to meet with others and discuss it. I am also a certified practitioner of the Hakomi method of self-study, which is a useful set of techniques for managing our own relationships to climate grief, compassion-fatigue, and interpersonal dynamics.
What I want to gain:
Hope. Inspiration. Further experiences with indigenous ways of being and knowing. Clarification of where best to invest my change-making efforts. Examples of concrete activities and tools to use with classes. Networking. A positive experience and sense of solidarity.
